A warm “Hello” to all visitors to our website!
There is news from South Africa, especially from our “Mandosi Creche ” project.
I was there in March. Unfortunately, the kindergarten has since been closed. Heavy rainfall and massive roof damage made it impossible to run the kindergarten.
Our thirst for action is now all the more awakened. My South African friend, Karin van Rooyen, and I want to turn the kindergarten back into a kindergarten worthy of its name. There is a lot to do:
We want to replace the roof, install a water tank, renovate the toilets a bit, replace the flooring, paint the walls, buy new furniture and, above all, buy toys for the children. As the grounds are large, we want the nursery school teachers to work with the children to create a vegetable garden. In this way, the children are already learning how to provide for themselves.
The kindergarten teachers are paid far too little for their work. There is a danger that they will take another, better paid job. That is why Colours for Kids would like to take on something like a “sponsorship” for the monthly wages of the two kindergarten teachers and pay them 100 euros a month.
For all this we need some money, please help us and donate. Your donation will go 100% towards this project. We bear all administrative costs privately, and work on a voluntary basis. Every donation counts!
Yours Dorothee Holly
