Aim of the organisation

  • Projects in South Africa

  • Investment in education and upbringing

  • No administrative costs: 100 per cent investment of donations in the projects

  • Voluntary commitment

  • Project support on site

The aim of our association, Colours for Kids e. V., is to provide development aid in South Africa with a focus on education, upbringing and support for children and young people in need.

That is why we collect donations and use 100% of them locally. No funds are used for administrative purposes. Our organisation was founded in 2015 by Dorothee Holly and Karin van Rooyen and has received great support ever since.

Karin van Rooyen is a South African and represents CFK in her country. Karin is responsible for the implementation of the projects. Chairwoman, Dorothee Holly, coordinates and organises the acquisition of donations. She gives presentations and is happy to take interested parties to South Africa to introduce them to this fascinating but problematic country. Interested parties visiting South Africa are welcome to visit the various projects that have been undertaken.

Colours for Kids works together with the MusaweNkosi orphanage in Empangeni and places volunteers there. More information about the orphanage can be found at: https://www.musawenkosi.org.za
